Along with classroom spaces for the Foundation’s educational and health and wellbeing programmes, it houses an IT suite, function room and six seven-a-side football pitches, an 11-a-side pitch and a full-size hockey pitch already being used as one of five national centres.

A club spokesman said: “We are very excited about the Education Centre and its surrounding pitches.

“This entire project is purpose built to give the customer the best possible experience and offer the local community a great venue to come and use.”

The education centre is the latest in a Fylde-wide project.
