Hannah Evans, from Mawdesley, will be taking part in Cake International at the NEC in Birmingham and at Alexandra Palace in London.

The 41-year-old last year worked as part of a team to create the Rocky Horror Sugar Show, and is now working as part of Sugar Show Productions to create a circus-themed display.

Among the edible treats created will be a ghost - a piece of edible wall art made from cupcakes, a circus poster based on the Giffords Circus, and a model tea cup ride made from sugar that spins at speed.

Hannah said: “I started making cakes for my children’s birthdays.

“I’m self-taught and I started getting more and more interested in it, and decided to enter a class in Manchester at Cake International and got a gold medal.
