Headlining the annual concert was classical cross-over vocalist Linda Tolchard, a soprano from Heysham, back by popular demand after her successful debut last year. Also on the bill were Blackburn People’s Choir and St Christopher’s CE High School Jazz Band from Accrington. Compere for the evening was regular host John Gilmore, of BBC Radio Lancashire.

Tickets for the concert were free but its audience donated to a retiring collection and also supported a raffle.
