Austrian trailer stolen seven years ago found in Preston
A refrigerated trailer stolen from Austria more than seven years ago has been found in Preston, Lancashire Police say.
The force say the 45 foot tri-axle trailer has been parked at Walton Summit Road in Bamber Bridge for over a month but after being reported by a caller at 6am this morning it has been classed as a “found vehicle”.
The police spokesman didn’t have any more information on how the trailer had travelled from central Europe to the large suburban village but did say they will now use a tractor to recover the vehicle.
