CCTV images have been released of an armed robbery at a newsagents in Chorley.

Shortly before 10pm on Friday, January 22, a man entered Londis in Eaves Lane and approached a member of staff who was behind the till.

He threatened the shop assistant with a knife and told her to open the till. The man took £200 in cash from the till before leaving the shop.

He is described as white and was wearing a dark jacket with white speckles on the hood, snood and gloves.

DC Dom Webster from South CID said: “This was a terrifying incident for the member of staff who was threatened with a knife while she was alone in the shop.

We are keen to trace the man pictured in the CCTV images and if anyone has any information that could assist with our investigation then I would urge them to get in touch.”
