Chloe Birdsall made the unique comforter for her 18-month-old son Luka-Jay before he was born.

But it was misplaced on a trip to Preston on Saturday, July 15, possibly around the St George's shopping centre.

Chloe hopes someone may have picked up the distinctive item or handed it in nearby.

She said: "He's cried himself to sleep since it was lost.

"I've checked all of the shops we visited but no luck so far. We've ordered a replacement but it's more the sentimental value of this blanket."

The blanket is green with the youngster's name on one side in blue writing.

It has multi-coloured tassels and has a design with cartoon monkeys on the underside.

Luka-Jay's parents have appealed to anyone who may have seen the blanket or knows whether it has been handed in to come forward.
