Appeal after man's jaw is broken outside a Preston bar

An appeal has been launched after a serious assault in which a man had his jaw broken outside a Preston bar.

The 26-year-old victim's jaw broken in two place and he also had some of his teeth knocked out during the attack yesterday. It happened at around 1.30am outside The Old Dog Inn on Church Street.

The man had to remain in hospital to have an emergency operation.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "We are appealing for witnesses to come forward in relation to the serious assault that occurred outside the bar."
