Accidental hay bale delivery closes roundabout
A tractor making an accidental delivery of hay saw a Preston roundabout closed off last night.
At around 8pm, a tractor and its trailer tipped over, dumping hay bales on Preston Docks roundabout near the Jaguar garage at the junction of Mariners Way and Port Way.
A police spokesman said: “We were called at around 8.20pm to reports of a tractor and trailer tipping over on Port Way. The incident left a number of hay bales on the roundabout and the road was closed off for a short time.
“There were no injuries in the incident and the hay has now been cleared by the farmer with all roads reopen.”
