"A real pinch me moment" - New skin clinic to open in Penwortham offering high-tech treatments
The clinic opens this weekend, with demos, talks and a special masterclass available.
A new skin clinic will officially open its doors in Penwortham this weekend.
Bedeque, at 16a Liverpool Road, will host a Grand Opening events on both Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, which include demonstrations talks, and a clinical skincare masterclass.
The clinic is run by Dr Siobhán Allen, who describes the clinic as “a dream come true.” Siobhan, who moved from Ireland in 2018, is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and independent prescriber, who hold degrees in adult and children's nursing, a PhD in pain management, a Master's in Advanced Practice, and a Level 7 qualification from Harley Academy in Aesthetics and Cosmetic Dermatology, so the clinical background behind every treatment runs deep.
She said: “We take a skin first approach at Bedeque, that means we focus on skin health before we even talk about treatments. To get the best, longest lasting results from any aesthetic treatment, you have to prepare the foundations properly first, and we work exclusively with iS Clinical, a pharmaceutical grade botanical skincare range that genuinely delivers on its promises.
"Alongside that, we offer a full range of treatments: aesthetic injectables including toxin and dermal fillers, regenerative treatments like polynucleotides and Profhilo, and skin treatments such as microneedling and laser resurfacing.”
What Siobhan is most excited about is offering LED light therapy and PEMFiT. LED light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate collagen production, calm inflammation and support skin healing. PEMFiT offers drug free, non-invasive pulsed electromagnetic field treatment for pain management and recovery, alongside localised cryotherapy.
She said: “Both are treatments I've wanted to bring to Bedeque for a long time, and I think they'll be a brilliant addition to what's on offer for people in the area."

The clinic - on the corner of Liverpool Road and Priory Lane - has been renovated from top to bottom, with Siobhan keen that it would not be a “clinical, sterile environment”, but a place where people can ‘get a proper bit of solace and time to themselves’ as well as treatments.
She said: “Penwortham is my adopted home; I've lived here for the past five years, and I love the bustle that's building on Penwortham high street. I genuinely believe this area is at the start of a revival, and I'm proud to be part of that small business community, growing alongside it rather than just opening up in it.”
She added: "Honestly, I'm having a real pinch me moment. This clinic has been my dream for a long time, and to be this close to opening the doors of a space I've poured so much into is hard to put into words. I can't wait to welcome people from Penwortham and the surrounding areas in and show them what we've built."
