A festival of live music for flood village

A three-day music festival has been organised with more than 50 acts taking part.

Croston Fest will take place between February 26 and 28.

Performers will do their bit to try and cheer up the village following the floods and to raise money for Croston Flood Relief.

Music will be taking place in the following venues: The Black Horse; Croston Sports Club; Crown; Fresco Fresco’s; Grapes; Lord Nelson; Panshi; St Michaels or Methodist Church; Wheatsheaf; village green.

There will be everything from Abba to a ukulele band, plus a gospel choir and Stone The Crows morris dancers.

Wristbands for access to all venues are £5 and can be bought from any of the pubs.

Under 18 are free and all money from wristband sales will be go to Croston Flood Relief.

Band Line ups for each venue will be given nearer the time.

Meanwhile, organisers are looking for volunteers aged over 18 to help make the event runs without any problems.

Help is needed with directing people to car parks, selling wristbands and generally being visible for anybody that needs help.
