Brimming with jingle bells and holiday cheer, participants took off at 1.30pm on Sunday in the Santa Dash, weaving through Lancaster’s centre before arriving back in Market Square for the town’s lights switch-on.
Runners, joggers and walkers of all ages donned Santa hats, flashing Christmas jumpers and other festive fancy dress, each earning a medal and candy cane upon completion of the route.
Held in support of CancerCare, the event was more than just seasonal fun - it aimed to raise vital funds to help local families facing cancer, bereavement or life-shortening illness in the community.
With warmth, laughter and the sound of sleigh-bells in the air, the Santa Dash combined seasonal spirit with real purpose, allowing participants to make memories while giving back.
