Popular fashion retails Peacocks and Bonmarche had the official openings of their brand new Preston stores.
Located adjacent to each other inside St George’s Shopping Centre, the new stores represent exciting returns to the city for both brands- Peacocks having left in 2012 and Bonmarche in 2019.
Speaking to the Post at the opening, Amanda Waterfield, Retail Director at Bonmarché said: “ Welcome to Bonmarché in Preston. We're delighted to be open today on Thursday the 28th of May. We listened to our customers who were desperate for us to come back into Preston where we used to be. So, please come and see us. We've got lots of great collections for you to see, some fantastic summer outfits. We'd love to see you today. We're very proud to be a store-based company. We pride ourselves on being in the local community to service our customers.”
A Bonmarche customer added: “It's brilliant. It's nice to have a clothes shop in Preston. You're limited to what you can buy now. I like to try things on, not buy online and having to send things back so, it's absolutely amazing. Really, really pleased.”
Speaking ahead of the opening, Sharron Lamb, Retail Director at Peacocks, said: “We are so excited to welcome shoppers to our new store in Preston, the first of many this year.
“With our new summer collections for all the family, shoppers can be sure to get everything they need to get ready for the new season at Peacocks.”
