Below are the scenes as firefighters tackle a fire at St David’s Church on Eldon Street, Preston this morning (October 27.)

Lancashire Police say they received reports of a “large fire” at 6.19am, and as of 7am, police, fire and local council are coordinating the incident.

The church, which is disused and planned for demolition, lies a short while from Roebuck Primary School – currently closed for October half term.
