The seasonal steam train experiences gave visitors the chance to enjoy a traditional ride in steam-heated carriages, with Father Christmas visiting families at their seats to hand out gifts to children.
The Santa Specials offered a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere, with festive refreshments served on board and Mrs Ribble’s Tea Room open for additional treats.
Tickets also included access to the decorated Ribble Steam Railway Museum, which was transformed for the occasion with Christmas displays, live music and festive characters — with some visitors even spotting a few elves along the way.
The events are designed to be an ideal family outing, giving children the chance to meet Santa, post letters in the special Santa mailbox and enjoy a traditional steam train journey.
