Primal Scream, Charlatans and Basement Jaxx to top bill at Kendal Calling Fest

Dance lords Basement Jaxx and indie stars Primal Scream and The Charlatans are to top the bill at Cumbrian festival Kendal Calling this year.

Organisers of the event yesterday announced the first acts to be booked for this year’s festival in July as the first tickets went on sale.

For The Charlatans, their headline slot will be their only Northern festival appearance this year.

Also scheduled to appear are Manchester’s I Am Kloot and DJ Mr Scruff, Liverpool’s Wave Machines and Scouse veterans The Lightning Seeds, Irish rockers Ash and Kendal’s own Mercury winners British Sea Power.

Tickets for the festival, which goes ahead from July 26 to 28, are on sale now, priced at £115 for a full adult weekend ticket with car parking tickets at £6.
