Family fun day at the annual Longridge Show

The sun shone down as the Goosnargh and Longridge Agricultural Show made a welcome return after two years lost to the pandemic.

Thousands turned out in glorious weather for one of Lancashire’s favourite country fairs at the Lower Lane showground in Longridge.

The event had everything from sheep shearing, to cattle milking and an alpaca display. There were pedigree dogs, heavy horses and rare breed sheep.

Visitors were also treated to displays of pet dog training, large farm machinery, vintage tractors, a Young Farmers’ tug of war contest and music from Brindle Brass Band.
