Little ones attending Walton-le-Dales’ Absolute Angels Nursery and Pre-School have helped to raise £569 for mums and babies charity Baby Beat by being sponsored to walk a mile day every day for a full week!

Their daily toddle was organised by nursery and pre-school owner Michelle Mosoph, supported by staff and the children’s parents and carers.

Joanna Allitt, fundraising manager for Baby Beat, said: “Well done to Michelle, her team, all the children and everyone who supported them. Walking that far for little legs is some going. We are very grateful.”

Michelle will be back in action for Baby Beat on Easter Saturday, 19th April, when she will be leading children’s Easter craft sessions and cookie decorating at a family fun day for the charity at Clayton-le-Wood’s Halfway House pub and kitchen.

The free to enter event, which runs from noon to 4 pm, is being organised by midwife Catherine Nield, who has invited the Easter Bunny along! There will also be a funfair, live music, quizzes, raffles and tombolas.

Baby Beat is part of the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity family. It funds specialist equipment, patient services and comforts, clinical care, local research, additional training and staff welfare projects so that the maternity and gynaecology teams can offer the best possible outcomes for babies and mums in the Central Lancashire and Chorley area.
