1 What appealed to you most about the property?

When we viewed the property the first time we were struck by how quiet the area was and we loved the view from the side of the house and the woods that back onto the house. Although at that stage the garden was full of trees it was easy to imagine it being a lovely and peaceful place to sit and relax with a glass of wine. After viewing a number of properties we were also impressed with the size of the kitchen, the additional space the conservatory offered and the size of the third bedroom. In addition the house is ideal for motorway links and with Lisa working in Blackburn it made the commute to work much easier. The house is set quite far back from the road and has a good sized drive area which easily fits two or three cars on which is very handy when friends visit.

2 How long have you lived in the property?

We have lived in the property for five years

3 What have you done to the house since moving into the property?

We removed trees from the garden and had it landscaped (we have just finished this and just need to turf the lawn now); changing the kitchen to incorporate integrated appliances, fitting a new boiler and having a new ridge put on the conservatory roof. We have also decorated right through, had the lounge and hallway/landing skimmed and had a new laminate floor in the hallway.

4 Why are you selling?

We are looking to move to Penwortham. Not an easy decition. We really love the house and Frank’s family live close by but we spend a lot of time in Penwortham visiting Lisa’s family and friends. And Frank works there. We would consider any part exchange options which may arise in the Penwortham area.

5 What is your favourite room and why?

The conservatory, we use this as a dining room, play room and somewhere quiet to sit and read. It is lovely on a sunny day with the doors open to the garden as we often sit and watch the birds and squirrels outside.

6 What will you miss most about moving?

The house, the estate, and our neighbours who are all lovely. We will also miss the river views from the side of the house and the close proximity of the guild wheel which is only a short walk away.

7 How close are the amenities?

There is a bus route into the centre of Preston a short walk away from the house. A local store and garage are a short walk away.

8 To whom would this property be best suited?

Ideal for a family or a couple and who has to commute to work.
