A new restaurant and takeaway specialising in salt and pepper dishes will open in Preston next month.

Salt and Peppery will open at the former Heyman Food Express in Fishergate, boasting a menu of loaded boxes, wraps, chicken wings, crispsy beef and salt and pepper hash browns.
The new venture is the latest from city restaurateur Sam Chen, the foodie entrepreneur behind Preston’s popular Korean restaurant KimJi in Winckley Street, and Beijing Cantonese in Burnley.

Mr Chen, 36, said the new ‘Salt and Peppery’ concept was inspired by the popularity of the iconic salt and pepper seasoning that proved a hit with customers at his family’s former takeaway in North Wales.
He said: "At Salt and Peppery, we're passionate about serving fresh, flavour-packed food made with quality ingredients, and we're excited to become part of Preston's fantastic independent food scene."

The new restaurant's menu will feature a range of salt and pepper favourites, with boxes starting from £9.50, wraps from £7.50 and side dishes from £2.
Salt and Peppery is expected to welcome its first customers before the end of August.
