Full list of Chorley food businesses given three stars or fewer over the summer

Food hygiene officers have been busy inspecting businesses around Chorley to ensure that food hygiene standards are being maintained.

Between June to August, 105 businesses that handle food and drink in the Chorley area were visited and handed new ratings based on their performance.

In that time the majority received a new rating of “good” (4 stars) or “very good” (5 stars) with only 11 being handed three or fewer stars.

Inspectors assess businesses on three main elements, including how hygienically food is handled, the physical condition of the business and how food safety is managed.

The data for this report was taken from the Food Standards Agency website and is correct as of August 28, 2026.
