This is when this popular Lancashire Brewer's Fayre restaurant will close
The exact date a Brewers Fayre restaurant in Lancashire will close has been revealed.
In May the firm that owns Premier Inn announced plans to shut down two of its restaurant brands across the UK, with Lancaster one of four venues in Lancashire among the hundreds affected nationally.
Cottams Field Brewers Fayre restaurant on Caton Road in Lancaster was earmarked for closure under the company’s plans.
Now restaurant-goers have until Monday, September 7, to wave goodbye to the Lancaster restaurant before it closes for good.

Anyone signed up to its reward system, which allows customers to earn points when they spend at a diner, to then be used as money off food, has until August 31 to use them up.
It comes as part of a major overhaul launched by parent company and Premier Inn owner Whitbread.
While the majority of staff will be retained, 12% of workers from the shuttered sites will lose their jobs.
The group said that the plan to overhaul its restaurants forms part of a new five-year strategy which aims to save £250m in the face of cost pressures from business rates and national insurance contributions.
The firm will sell off 110 sites and convert others into 600 new hotel rooms. The remaining hotel restaurants are set to be replaced by a hotel-integrated food and drink model, Whitbread confirmed. The closures mean Beefeater restaurants will cease operations after more than 50 years in business, with Brewers Fayre having been set to celebrate the same milestone in 2029.
The restaurants are typically located next to or inside Premier Inn hotels, and have been a staple for the millions of people who visit per year. Of the hundreds of restaurants closing, four are located across Lancashire. The affected venues include the Red Lion in Blackpool, Cottams Field in Lancaster, Oakenhurst Farm in Darwen and Morris Dancers in Ormskirk.
Addressing the decision, Whitbread's chief executive, Dominic Paul, said: “We plan to convert all our remaining branded restaurants to an integrated food and beverage offer that is preferred by our hotel guests and will unlock the addition of more highly profitable extension rooms.
"Our continued efforts to drive our commercial plan and efficiencies will extend our market-leading position and allow us to take share from our competitors, many of which are struggling to grow.”
Last October Premier Inn revealed it has looked at a potential new site in a prime Lancaster city centre location. Premier Inn – which already has a hotel on the business park off Caton Road near junction 34 of the M6 – confirmed an interest in doubling its numbers in the city.
