Longridge's award-winning Fell Bistro to reopen as Neapolitan-style pizzeria Oh! Pizza
An award-winning bistro will close its doors at the end of the month before reopening as a pizzeria.
Longridge’s Fell Bistro in Berry Lane is moving away from fine dining as its team embarks on a new venture as a Neapolitan-style pizza restaurant.
It will close its doors on Sunday, September 29 and reopen as Oh! Pizza on Friday, October 4.
It is the latest venture by Fell’s Matt Willdigg, Alex Blamire, and Oli Martin, who earned AA Rosettes and a place in the Michelin Guide with their modern street food inspired dishes.
They said: “It’s bittersweet to close Fell, but we feel the time is right. It’s been an amazing two years and we can’t thank our loyal guests and team enough for your support.
“We hope you’ll join us on this exciting new chapter with Oh! Pizza!”
A taste of what we can expect
After honing his craft at some of the best restaurants in the UK, Matt - a former contestant on MasterChef: The Professionals - says he is ready to fire up Oh!’s big pizza oven and “create something truly special for the community”.
He says Oh! Pizza will offer a menu inspired by traditional Neapolitan pizzas, using “the finest, freshest ingredients to craft mouth-watering pizzas with a signature light, airy crust and perfectly blistered edges.”
The menu will have a selection of classic pizzas as well as a ‘signature selection’ with toppings such as Garlic Prawn and Nduja and Taleggio Cheese with Hen of the Woods Mushrooms.
Oh! Will also be offering rotating guest pizzas created by some of the area's finest chefs.
A dream come true
Matt, an alum of renowned restaurants such as the Michelin-starred Italian, Murano by Angela Hartnett, said he is thrilled to be bringing his love for Italian food to life with this new venture.
"Oh! Pizza is a dream come true for me," says Matt. "Pizza has always been a part of my life. It reminds me of being with my family, and I believe everyone has that connection with pizza.
“I’ve always wanted to open my own pizzeria, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone in Longridge to come and enjoy what we’ve created."
Street food starters & classic desserts
The bistro’s regulars will still be able to enjoy some of their favorite street food-inspired starters like its KFC-Style Hen of the Woods mushrooms, along with classic desserts reinvented with a modern twist.
Dine-in or takeaway
It will offer both dine-in and takeaway options, and there will be week day promotional events and a dedicated kids' play area upstairs, allowing parents to relax and enjoy their meal in the spacious upstairs dining room.

Tuesday to Friday, 5pm - 9pm / Saturdays from 12pm - 3pm, and 5pm - 9pm
