MORAR is opening a new home covering residential, dementia, nursing and independent living on Navigation Way this autumn. There will also be a separate waterside block of flats for supported, independent living.

The purpose-built luxury home, Marina View, currently has full availability, although early interest is high.

The main home will have 69 beds over two floors and all bedrooms are en-suite. Meanwhile, the separate building will offer independent living in 16 self-contained flats.

Residents will have a calming view of the Preston marina as well as different areas to enjoy and relax including a games room, cinema, hairdressers, quiet area and private dining area.

The manager is Maxine Nichol, a qualified mental health nurse who has worked in management since 1995. Her expertise was marked when she was awarded runner up at the Northwest Care Awards for best manager.

Maxine said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming our first residents to Marina View this autumn. The home, and the flats, is in a wonderful location next to the marina – one of the most sought after areas in the city.

“Our plan is to allow people to make the very most out of moving here, living life as full as possible.”

MORAR works across the UK taking care of dementia, complex needs, and old age residents with or without the need for nursing care. The highly experienced teams allow people to live their life safely with person centred, least restrictive care.
