With Christmas fast approaching, many households in Preston are starting to get their food and drink supplies in order for the festive season.

Yet even the most organised of spreadsheet shoppers are sometimes in need of an emergency dash to the store for items such as cranberry sauce or a bottle of wine.

Fear not though, as many supermarket chains extend store opening hours to satisfy customer demand at this time of year, so shoppers can browse the aisles at their leisure.
