Back To Broadway will be on at Preston Charter Theatre tomorrow night for one night only and audiences in Preston might realise that the voice of the narrator sounds very familiar.

Tupele Dorgu, West End star and former Coronation Street actress, will have her voice featured in the show as the narrator.

Tupele, 36, who is grew up in Preston and was a pupil at St Clare’s Primary School, Our Lady’s High School and then Kirkham Grammar School, will give the audience a little of the history and plotline for each musical as narrator.

Tupele, who is best known for the role of knicker seamstress Kelly Crabtree in Coronation Street, is an ideal person to be narrator in Back To Broadway as she has performed in many musicals herself including La Cage Aux Folles, Three Minute Heroes and Mamma Mia!
