With the Government easing lockdown restrictions on Wednesday (May 13), you might be tempted to take the family out for a drive or a walk around a local beauty spot.
But if you are not yet comfortable leaving the house with the kids, there is still plenty of fun to be had at home and in the garden.
Here are 13 ways you and your family can have fun in the sun from the safety of your own home.
Share your ideas with each other and let us know how you will be spending the week in our Facebook comments.
1.
Ice cream - Local ice cream seller Sue Post and her husband Rick (Ricks Ices) are returning to the streets of Preston, so listen out for the familiar chimes of the van making its rounds this weekend
2.
Insect safari - Kids can explore the garden on an insect safari and uncover the secret lives of our creepy crawly neighbours
3.
Pebble painting - Let your children's imaginations run wild with colourful and funky designs and then gift them to friends and family or hide them in a park as a nice surprise for others
4.
Make a den - When you are out on your next family walk, try to collect as many sticks as you can. If you have a garden, these can be used for many hours of hut building. Later on, if the weather permits it, you can use it to sleep out under the stars.
