Spanakopita and Tyropitakia are just some of the Greek offerings that The Larder will serve to guests on Saturday, March 7.

Kay Johnson, director of The Larder, said: “We set up The Larder five years ago to deliver healthy food and tackle food poverty, the cafe has been open for a year and we try to support small local businesses.

“Most of our food is from the local area and we try to encourage people to know where their food is coming from.

“What we’re trying to do is celebrate cultural diversity in Lancashire and bring people together through food.”

Previous Greek nights have proved very popular, with a combination of authentically cooked meals prepared by The Larder’s Chryssa Malfa-Erguvan, who grew up in Greece, live music and intimate atmosphere.

The Larder promotes healthy, waste free, local and sustainable food and donates their profits to local communities.

Profits from the Greek feast night will go towards the cafe’s many local enterprises, including their champions program, which trains people to give food classes to local communities.

The evening takes place 6.30pm-10.30pm at the Lancaster Road cafe. Tickets can be booked through Eventbrite.
