The rugby club in Fulwood previously hosted a large flu vaccination operation and it's now been confirmed it will be used to help vaccinate more people against coronavirus.

Jabs are expected to be offered from early next month. Invite letters will be sent to those eligible, with information on how to book a slot.

It comes after it was confirmed this week that the former B&M Bargains store in the St John's shopping centre in Preston is being set up as another vaccination hub.

Michael Ball, service lead, said: "It is vital that as many people from the eligible groups as possible receive a Covid-19 vaccination.

"When you get a vaccination, you are protecting yourself and others.

"Wait to receive your invitation for a vaccination from the NHS at which point you can select where you would like to have it administered. We have set up this centre to provide a facility that can help to protect the population of Preston and the surrounding area at this critical time."
