Covid vaccines: these are the areas in Preston with the lowest and highest vaccine uptake

Since the UK’s vaccination programme started in December more than 23 million people have already received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.

Official figures from NHS England now reveal how many people have been vaccinated in neighbourhoods across the country.

In Preston, 43,000 people had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine between 8th December 2020 and 7th March 2021.

The uptake varies across neighbourhoods though.

Here we reveal which areas in Preston have vaccinated the lowest and highest percentage of their population.

9. Lea & Marina

2,205 people have been vaccinated in Lea & Marina. This represents 42% of people aged 16 and over in the area.

2,021 people have been vaccinated in Ingol. This represents 42% of people aged 16 and over in the area.

3,648 people have been vaccinated in Ashton-on-Ribble & Larches. This represents 43% of people aged 16 and over in the area.

2,630 people have been vaccinated in Longsands. This represents 49% of people aged 16 and over in the area.
