The Government's reasoning behind the decision to place Lancashire into Tier 3 was due to the continued pressure on the county's health service, despite improving Covid rates in some areas.

As Preston settles into the new restrictions we've looked at the latest data which reveals where cases of Covid are dropping fastest across the city.

The figures, from Public Health England, show which neighbourhoods saw a decrease in cases for the seven days to November 26, 2020.

According to the latest data only Haslam Park and Frenchwood & Fishwick recorded an increase in cases during the same seven day period.

Seven–day rates are expressed per 100,000 population and are calculated by dividing the seven day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000.
