Following lengthy talks between local council chiefs and Government officials, Lancashire's new Covid restrictions were confirmed yesterday (October 12).

The county, now classed as a Tier 2 area, avoided the highest category of new Covid restrictions - but tougher restrictions could be only weeks away.

Ahead of the new measures coming into force on Wednesday October 14, we take a look at the latest rolling data released by Public Health England revealing the areas of Preston with the most new cases of Covid-19.

The Public Health England (PHE) data taken from the Gov.uk website includes lab confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 reported by October 10, 2020 with a specimen date up to October 8, 2020.

These are all the areas of Preston with new confirmed Covid-19 cases for the first four recorded days of Week 41 up to October 8 (the rolling seven day total will also include cases from the previous week), from lowest to highest case numbers.
