The Prime Minister announced last week that a third national lockdown would be necessary to bring the spread of the virus under control, with the new rules coming into full effect on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
However, according to reports the Prime Minister spoke with senior ministers on Sunday to evaluate “whether the current lockdown rules were working” in reducing the spike of coronavirus cases.
The latest figures from Public Health England, show the case rate for neighbourhoods in Preston for the seven days to January 5, 2021.
Below are all the areas of Preston with a rolling rate of more than 400 per 100,000 population listed from lowest to highest.
The Preston areas with a rolling rate lower than 400 include; Longsands, Ingol, Ribbleton, Moor Park, Plungington & University, Ashton-on-Ribble & Larches, Frenchwood & Fishwick, Preston Town Centre.
