Several parts of the county are now below the national average when it comes to new infections in the last seven days - but, since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Lancashire has had 61,605 confirmed cases out of its population of 1.5m people.
That is more than some entire countries, including several with significantly larger populations.
Of course, the UK has ramped up testing in recent months and now boasts one of the best testing rates in Europe. So inevitably, more cases will be found.
But while some of the countries listed below are testing far fewer people - so their lower number of cases may not be entirely surprising - some are testing at a high rate, and still have had fewer cases overall than the Red Rose county.

9. Norway
Faring just slightly worse than its neighbour Finland, Norway has had 35,546 confirmed cases among its 5.4m residents.

10. Singapore
Singapore was another country praised for its early handling of the pandemic. It has reported 58,205 confirmed cases among its population of 5.9m and has one of the highest testing rates in the world.

11. Ivory Coast
With 21,261 infections and a population of 26.4m people, the Ivory Coast appears to be handling the situation well. It is testing far fewer people than many other countries - but at the last count, very few tests were coming back positive.

12. Sri Lanka
Out of 21.4m people, there have been 22,988 confirmed cases in Sri Lanka. Testing rates are lower than here but so too are the proportion coming back positive.
