Before heading into lockdown, Chorley Group worked in conjunction with car manufacturer MG to deliver six MG ZS EV vehicles t the local NHS trust having already been offering emergency MOT and repair work for all NHS staff prior to the six-month MOT exemption coming into play this week. They also managed to prepare and deliver 162 cars for customers in 48 hours before being forced into lockdown.
“We’re proud to be in a position to give a small gesture in the grand scheme of things by supporting our NHS during these trying times through loaning our vehicles for important use thanks to the support of MG Motor UK," said Adam Turner, Sales and Marketing Director at Chorley Group. “We had an obligation to our clients who needed their new cars fast.
"We set a task and we smashed it," Adam added. "Our amazing team all pulled in the same direction and we prepared, valeted and delivered over 150 cars so we could close the doors temporarily for the first time in our history. This was done with social distancing, home deliveries and more cleaning than we ever thought possible.”
Still supporting customers digitally through a live chat and with their Digital Response Team (DRT) operating remote daily assistance, Adam said: “We want to beat Covid-19 and we know we need to all stay at home so by having our DRT in place we can offer customers the opportunity to reserve, finance and buy their next car online whilst keeping our work force safe.
