Time capsule buried at Preston primary school on St George’s Day

A Preston primary school celebrated St George’s Day by burying a time capsule and officially opening its new outdoor cabin.

Eldon Primary School, Eldon Street, buried the time capsule with the help of Preston mayor David Borrow.

In the spirit of the day, ‘St George’ and his dragon were invited to the school’s new log cabin, The Burrow, to mark the occasion.

The capsule is set to be opened on April 23 2071 which will mark The Burrow’s fiftieth anniversary.

The cabin has been built in woodland next to English Martyrs’ Catholic Primary School, on Sizer Street and will be enjoyed by pupils for years to come.
