During the month of March, eight establishments in Preston and its surrounding areas had Ofsted reports published online.
This included three primary schools and five nursery/early years establishments, across Preston, Chorley and South Ribble.
None of these establishments were classed as requires improvements, all having found to have met the expected standards- some are even considered ‘outstanding’.

Report published March 23 following inspection on February 15. Rated 'Good' for all categories. Highlights: inclusive and supportive nursery; strong education provision; children learning about the importance of a healthy lifestyle; provision for learning through role play is exceptional Requires improvement: extend the programme of professional development to improve delivery of mathematics; deepen children's understanding of the diversity of life in modern Britain; enhance the provision for outdoor learning. 6. Carr Manor Nursery, Walton-le-Dale= GOOD
Report published March 31 following inspection on February 24. Rated 'Good' for all categories. Highlights: Children are happy and have adapted to Covid changes; dedicated leaders; promotes physically active play inside and outdoors Requires improvement: strengthen all staff's understanding of the learning intention for planned activities; provide staff working with toddlers more regular support, so that they can improve their teaching practice Previous inspection: Good.
