Steph will open fair for hospice

Former Balshaw's High School pupil Tisha Merry will be swapping the cobbled streets of Corrie for a trip down Memory Lane on Saturday.

The actress will among special guests in Leyland at the Church Road school’s annual spring fair.

Tisha, who found fame as Steph Britton on Coronation Street, still lives in the town and will open her old school fair along with the Mayor and Mayoress of South Ribble.

They will also be judging the school’s very own bake off competition too.

Besides side shows and stalls, the event will include live music from a number of people including Annabel Pike, another former pupil, who was on

X Factor in 2016.

Proceeds will be shared with  St Catherine’s Hospice.
