Headteacher Azra Butt said: "The idea for the second one came about because all of us know or have family and friends who are going above and beyond, taking risks in their daily work who we felt need recognising and appreciating.

"They are all 'Heroes' and we are very proud of their selfless acts.

"At a time when people are being paid to stay at home, key workers are risking their lives whilst continuing to work in some capacity. "

The clips include staff from the Royal Preston Hospital where the schools donated surplus PPE .Azra added: " We have made a special connection with Ward 22 and Ward 23 - specialist wards for Covid-19 at the RPH. Staff have crocheted 'Connected hearts' for the families. "

It also includes photos of other heroes in other parts of the country and world.

These include people who are family members of the staff at Eldon and some of parents of the children that attend the school. They range from care workers, hospital staff, police, army personnel and a local postman to name a few.

The headteacher added: "The clip is also a tribute to school staff every where who are manning schools for key Worker children.

"I wanted to include our staff in the tribute, from the office staff, to the cook, cleaners and teachers and support staff too."

The video is only on social media at the moment but once lock down is lifted the school plans to run it on Eldon TV.
