A popular literary festival is returning to Preston next month and below is everything you need to know
Preston’s University of Lancashire will once again organise and host a popular literary festival this summer.
Fox & Ink Books, formerly known as UCLan Publishing, has officially released the highly anticipated schedule for the Northern Young Adult Literary Festival (NYALitFest) 2026.
The North’s premier celebration of Young Adult (YA) literature will take place on Saturday, July 11 at the University of Lancashire’s Preston Campus.

What can we expect from the festival?
NYALitFest 2026 will bring a vibrant array of authors, panel discussions, book signings, and creative makers under one roof.
Organisers have curated a diverse schedule designed to tap into every corner of the YA fandom, from dark urban fantasies to lighthearted romantic comedies.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet and hear from prominent figures in the literary world, including renowned authors Cynthia Murphy, Kate Weston and Blackpool’s Curtis Jobling
In addition to the author panels and book signings, the festival marketplace will spotlight a curated selection of independent small businesses.
Eager readers can explore vendor tables featuring hand-poured candles, custom bookmarks, fan art, and literary apparel from independent UK makers.
Booksales will be managed by local independent bookshop, Ebb & Flo.
Where can I get tickets?
Festival passes for the day-long event are available to purchase.
Due to high demand and limited seating capacity inside individual panel rooms at the Harrington Building, advance booking is highly recommended.
Tickets cost £4 each and are required to access the venue.
Doors open at 9:30am and close at 4:00pm.
You also need to register for each panel you wish to attend via eventbrite too.
