Nine mainstream secondary schools, five special schools and two colleges had new Ofsted reports published this year.
Of these, 10 were classed as ‘good’, four ‘outstanding’, two ‘requires improvement’ and one was classed as inadequate.

Report published Jan 17 following an inspection on Nov 22-23. Classed as 'good'. Highlights: calm and welcoming place; pupils are very well behaved; personal development opportunities. 4. Christ The King Catholic High School
Report published Feb 27 following an inspection on Sept 28-29. Classed as 'inadequate'. Highlights: some pupils enjoy the range of extra-curricular activities; teachers have secure subject knowledge. Improvements needed: curriculum is not sufficiently well designed/delivered; some pupils experience sexual, racist and homophobic language;arrangements for safeguarding are not effective.
