Here is what you can expect from a visit to Lostock Hall library when you next visit.

Markings have been put around the front desk to keep staff and visitors at a safe distance from each other.

Some shelving has been removed and markers laid on the floor to make more space, so visitors can safely browse during their allocated 30 minutes without worrying about accidentally bumping into someone else.

Library visitors will need to book in on arrival, after making an appointment online or by phone. Visitors are not permitted to turn up to the library without an appointment.

Aileen Smedley, library officer at St Anne's library, demonstrates how to return used books- by putting them in a designated box. The books will then be shelved no less than two hours later.
