Boasting the 19th largest student population, it is safe to say that many of its alumni have gone on to do great things in British public life, from artists to actors; journalists and sports stars.
Here we run down some of the famous faces who studied at the Preston campus.
9. Mandip Gill
The actress (pictured, far left) first appeared on our TV screens in 2012 in the soap opera Hollyoaks. She went on to star as one of the Doctor’s companion opposite Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor in Dr Who. 10. Bryan Talbot
The famed graphic artists provided the illustrations to several Neil Gaiman graphic novels, and creator of The Adventures of Luther Arkwright and its sequel Heart of Empire, as well as the Grandville series of books.
