FE training given national approval

College students in Preston and Leyland are getting a first class apprenticeship education according to the latest National Achievement Rate Tables (NARTs.

They show the area is among the best in the country when it comes to apprenticeship and 19+ 
education.

The Government data for 2016-17 place Preston’s College in the top 10 for both overall attainment and 16-18 classroom based learning.

Runshaw, which has centres in Leyland and Chorley, is third in the country for classroom-based learning but is seven places behind 14th- ranked Preston’s College for overall attainment.

Preston’s is also positioned 29th nationally for its quality of adult provision.
