An ‘outstanding’ grammar school in the Ribble Valley has congratulated its A-Levels students following an “excellent” results day.
The headteacher of a top Lancashire grammar school has shared his congratulations to this year’s A-Level students ahead of what is hoped to be a very successful GCSE results day tomorrow.
Clitheroe Royal Grammar School has shared the excellent results its 2026 cohort achieved in their recent A-Level examinations.
Special mention was given to the 50 students who achieved all A*/ A grades and those who secured places at top universities and prestigious apprenticeships.

In a statement, headteacher Mr J M Keulemans said: “We would like to congratulate our students on the excellent results gained in this year’s A Level examinations. This is a successful culmination of their school and 6th form careers and we recognise how their hard work and positive attitudes towards their studies and the wider life of the 6th form have resulted in a well-deserved set of results.
“The success of our students in reaching their destinations of choice is particularly pleasing.
“Students have successfully attained places at a diverse range of top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge and on a wide range of courses, with 20 students going on to study medicine, dentistry or veterinary science. 50 students achieved all A*/ A grades: an outstanding achievement.
“We are also really pleased with the success of our students in attaining degree apprenticeship courses at a range of companies, including: Rolls Royce and BAE Systems among others.
“The achievements of our students also reflects the dedication of our teachers and the quality of the support provided by our whole staff team.
“We are extremely proud of every one of our students and we would like to wish them well in their future endeavours.”
Clitheroe Grammar, which has held an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted rating since 2006, will share its GCSE results tomorrow, Thursday, August 20.
