A chance for Lancashire’s education stars to shine

The cream of Lancashire’s education establishments face the limelight as the curtains open on the Lancashire Evening Post’s Education Awards.

On the back of last year’s phenomenal success, the search is on for worthy recipients of accolades in the 13 award categories.

Sponsored by BAE Systems and Preston’s College, the awards are intended to give the public, parents, carers and tutors alike, a chance to acknowledge the good things going on in schools which don’t always get the rewards they deserve.

It is also an opportunity for readers to get involved by nominating worthy candidates.

Editor Gillian Parkinson said: “The awards are a great way of celebrating all the good working going on in our primary and secondary schools.“The aim is to recognise effort at all levels, not just the high achievers.
