Lancashire choir hosts singalong event for World Singing Day

'Sing together. Unite the world'. The World Singing Day global sing-along is for everyone - all ages, backgrounds and singing abilities. This year, choir directors Tanya Lawrence and Jackie Speight are giving people the chance to take part in a special 'come and sing' event on Saturday 19 October in Lytham St. Annes.

A Lancashire choir is hosting one of just 8 official events in England to celebrate this year's World Singing Day.

Women Rockin' Harmony Choirs will lead the Fylde Coast Singalong for World Singing Day at The Links Pub, St. Annes on Saturday 19 October from 2-4pm.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys singing to take part in an informal, fun session learning the official World Singing Day song (a mash-up of 'We Are The World' and 'Imagine') from scratch. There will also be fun warm-up activities and a singalong of a well-known rock song to finish. There's no performance involved, just the chance to enjoy making music in a friendly setting.
