Clitheroe Young Farmers annual Christmas Tractor Run to take place this month
More than 100 tractors adorned in dazzling festive lights are set to tour the Ribble Valley again this Christmas.
The Clitheroe Young Farmers Christmas Tractor Run will take place on Sunday December 21st aiming to spread festive cheer while raising funds for two important causes.
Thousands of spectators are set to line the route to watch this unique celebration of rural life, which will support Clitheroe Young Farmers, a youth charity empowering individuals aged 10 to 28, and the British Heart Foundation, a vital charity that researches heart and circulatory diseases, campaigns for policies that promote heart health, and provides information and support for people affected by heart conditions.

Meg Goring, chairperson Clitheroe Young Farmers, said: “A standout feature of this year’s run will be the return of a quiet zone along the route, designed for children with sensory issues. Here, tractors will turn off horns, loud music, and air horns, so more people could enjoy the tractor run.
“The convoy will make its way through the Ribble Valley and over the iconic Nick of Pendle Hill, last year the illuminated tractors could be seen for miles around – a breathtaking sight that reminded us of the strength and spirit of rural communities at Christmas.”
The parade begins at 6-30pm at Clitheroe Auction Mart before travelling to Chatburn, Grindleton, West Bradford, Waddington, Clitheroe train station, Clitheroe town centre, Barrow, Whalley, Sabden, Pendle Hill, Pendle Road and Chatburn Road before finishing at 9pm. The quiet zone will be on West Bradford Road at around 7-10pm.
