Care home resident's surprise trip to see her husband.
Barchester resident had her birthday. We thought we'd make it extra special by making a surprise trip from Preston to Fleetwood to visit her husband.
Yesterday was Irene's birthday. We decided to make the day an extra special one. We took her on a trip to a nursing home in Fleedwood to spend the afternoon with her husband Billy, She hadn't seen Billy in over a year.
This was a special moment for sure as Billy instantly recognised her and had tears of joy running down his cheek.
It was great to see them having a nice time. Communicating to each other their own way.
Happy Birthday Irene, we will go and see Billy again soon.
