Astley View Care Home marks two years with celebration and staff awards

Astley View Care Home in Chorley is celebrating its second anniversary, marking two years of high-quality, person-centred care and a warm, welcoming environment for residents and families.
Since opening in 2023, the home has continued to grow, building strong relationships with relatives, local groups and professionals, and developing a reputation for kindness, consistency and thoughtful support.
The past year has been a particularly proud one for the wider organisation, with Evermore Care recognised nationally in the 2025 Leaders in Care Awards. At Astley View Care Home in Chorley, colleagues have built links with the local area through a busy programme of events, from meaningful Remembrance tributes to summer celebrations and visits from local schools and community organisations. Families have shared positive feedback throughout the year, noting the home’s friendly atmosphere, personalised approach and the genuine commitment of staff.
Daily life at Astley View Care Home has continued to evolve, with new opportunities for engagement, expanded activity programmes and an ongoing focus on creating meaningful everyday experiences. The home’s dementia-friendly design and sensory spaces continue to play an important role in supporting residents to feel comfortable, oriented and at home.

To celebrate its second anniversary, the home hosted a special event and staff awards ceremony, bringing together residents and colleagues. Awards recognised outstanding dedication, teamwork, leadership and kindness, reflecting the qualities that shape the home’s culture and day-to-day life. The occasion offered a chance to look back on achievements and to acknowledge the people whose work underpins the service.
Home Manager Christina Durnan said: “Celebrating two years is a wonderful milestone, and I couldn’t be prouder of our team. Everything we do comes back to creating a home where people feel safe, valued and listened to. The past year has shown just how much joy, skill and dedication our colleagues bring every single day. This celebration is first and foremost for them - and for the residents and families who make Astley View Care Home the warm, welcoming place it is.”
As the festive season approaches, the team is also preparing for the Astley View Christmas Market on Saturday 6th December from 1pm to 4pm. The event is open to residents, families and the wider Chorley community, with festive stalls, seasonal refreshments, music and activities for children.
