Toolstation confirms opening date of new Leyland store as job applications open

The DIY supplier, which has more than 500 stores in the UK, is set to open a new store in Tomlinson Road on Monday, September 19.
Store assistant positions have subsequently opened online with a closing date of August 29.

Hide AdProspective employees can expect to be paid £9.69 an hour plus bonuses, with the job described as “not your average retail role”.
“You’ll be the face of Toolstation, making a fantastic first impression, building long-lasting relationships and going above and beyond to make our customers happy,” a spokesman said.
“Of course, you’ll serve customers, but you’ll also be checking deliveries, picking items from the warehouse and stocking shelves. And it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
“But if you take real pride in what you do, our customers will notice and love us all the more for it.”

Hide AdDay-to-day jobs include checking and unpacking deliveries, stocking shelves, cleaning the store and providing a great customer experience.
Successful candidates will bring hard work and passion, a love of teamwork, a positive attitude and reliability.

Opening for business in 2003, Toolstation is one of Britain’s fastest growing multi-channel retailers of tools, accessories and building supplies.
The chain has outlets in Blackburn, Preston and Bamber Bridge, with the most recent Lancashire store opening in Chorley in November 2021.
